Order Monica's Story
I went to high school with Ken Starr. We attended Sam Houston High School in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated in 1964 and myself in 1967. He was his senior class president and I was my freshman class president. Because of that we got to know each other. We also had a drama class together.

Ken was a drag queen in high school. During talent shows he would emcee in drag or perform in drag. He often would do drag in black face. He thought he was Martha Reeves or Diana Ross.

Today Starr makes in excess of $1 million a year from his law firm and being IC. His 90 plus year old mother, Vinnie Starr, still lives in the shack he was brought up in. That is the kind of family values he has. When he visits San Antonio he will not stay at his mother's house, but in a motel. Her house is below him today.

Thank you for the photo. I am posting your letter plus the photo at the following address:

I personally believe that Ken Starr is gay, for a variety of reasons. I am not gay myself but am observant and notice things others do not.

I would like to get some hard evidence on this. Exactly what did Ralph Hill die from?

Sam Sloan

I am not sure what Ralph died from, but I am told it was AIDS. We have had 5 or 6 guys die from AIDS that were at Sam Houston with me.

I personally gave this information over the phone and by fax to James Carville, but he did not want to use it.

Chris

UPDATE: I have received the following letter:

I posted this link to my class website and this is the response I got from one of our classmates:

http://www.ishipress.com/stardrag.htm

"Being a '67, I wanted to just check to see what I could find in my yearbooks. I know that you didn't have to have a picture in the yearbook. I didn't remember a Hagin as one of the class presidents for any of the 4 years I was there. Freshman class ['64] was D. Smith, Sophomore class['65] was c. Vick and the Junior class ['66] and Senior class ['67] were both R. Raines. Have no idea who Hagin is."

You might go to our website and see the truth about Ken Starr and Ralph Hill. The person who wrote you made the following mistakes:

1. Ralph Hill was a private person who would never in his life "come out of the closet" to a puny freshman. He was dearly loved and greatly respected by all of us. He was not a public figure and your posting of something so private about him as you did is shameful and disgusting.

2. The man can't spell. We learned to spell at SHHS.

3. Ralph was our photographer. He spent a lot of time in the closet (a dark one) with many students, boys and girls, developing photos.

4. Talent shows and other high school entertainment are meant to be funny. Good lord, if everyone got posted on the internet for just playing a part in a high school activity that would be totally nuts. Ken was not a drag queen. We were in a red neck school in a red neck part of a red neck town in the (then) red neck state of Texas. Nobody was a drag queen. He wouldn't have lasted a day, much less been able to go on to the accomplishments that he did.

5. Ken is good to his mother. If she lives in her old home, it is by her own choice. I don't know where she lives at this writing. I am not up on that. Ken was a decent kid and we all respected him and knew he was going to do something important someday.

You should do two minutes worth of background checking before publishing slander and gossip. Shame on you.
